Atlanta??? Anybody??

I'm flying to Atlanta tomorrow after school. I've been looking around online for things to do down there. I've already been twice, once when I was young and then again last fall. So far I've visited the Coca-Cola Museum, CNN building, the Cyclorama and a freakin' delightful BBQ joint called the Pig-N-Chick.....or the Chickenpig......or the Piggychick, something like that. Mmmmmm..........BBQ. Does anybody have any good suggestions for what I should check out this time??? If so, leave a comment and let me know.

Maybe I could go visit my buddy Joe Hen, the Baby Mob General

I went and helped Mike with Rach's deck some more over the past couple days. The weather has been absolutely wretched but we still manage to have a good time. I even drank Budweiser and enjoyed it, it just seems like a deck-building kind of beer. I also now answer almost every question asked of me with "F'in A dude" after the time I've spent with Mike. Seems like the pretty much standard response and there is no way to argue it. Everything is finished now except for the railing on the stairs and a few finishing touches here and there.

Hey! You should check out the aquarium. Also since you seem to love BBQ - check Fat Matt's Rib Shack in south Buckhead and Daddy Zs downtown. Virgina Highlands has a pretty good bar scene as does East Atlanta for music. Welcome to Atlanta!

Y'all spent so long at the Pig-n-Chick last time that we had to skip Kennesaw Mountain. :O) I think you'd like it since you like Civil War stuff. The aquarium is very cool and I second Jeff's recommendation of Fat Matt's for BBQ. If you're in the mood for Mexican, check out Nuevo Laredo Cantina. Both are very good and very popular, so go early or be prepared to wait. And don't forget the obilgatory trip to Waffle House! Sorry I'll miss you on this trip - they are shipping me off to NC. Have fun!

Wow, that deck looks AMAZING. Next time you're in town, Chris and I will have some wood waiting for you to do ours! I'll even provide the beer and pizza!

Hey! I also recommend Fat Matt's! You could try out Stone Mountain if the weather is nice. The Varsity downtown is an Atlanta tradition...yumm...chili cheeseburger and onion rings. Don't forget to get a Varsity Orange!!! Have fun!!!

I would highly suggest the Seirra Suites in Alpharetta (I hear the rooms are amazing). I would also second the motion for Varsity downtown but I would go with two chili dogs with an order of rings and a frosted orange. For BBQ, I would agree that Fat Mac's is good as well as the place across from the Accenture office in midtown isn't bad. But for a chain, Roasters really has great cornbread and the BBQ isn't bad either.
